Mission
 
The MISMO Architecture Workgroup has been chartered to establish the technology priorities, under guidance from the Governance Committee, for the MISMO Organization. The Workgroup will coordinate and integrate the recommendations of the MISMO Workgroups, MISMO subscribers and interested parties into an Extensible Markup Language (XML) standard for the mortgage industry and maintain that standard with subsequent revisions. The Workgroup is responsible for establishing the architectural framework on which the standards are developed including guidance on the use of other standards.
 
 
 
The following tools are used by the Architecture Workgroup
    • General communications
    • Meeting Announcements (actual agendas and documents will be linked in the body of the e-mail rather than being attached)
  1. Wiki
    • Meeting Agendas (with links to documents in Sharepoint)
    • Meeting Minutes (with links to documents and/or issues discussed)
    • Task List (where assisgned tasks are kept track of)
    • Issue & Parking Lot (where issues, resolutions, discussion and future topics will be kept)
    • Discussions Topics
    • All documents (word docs, pdfs, excel files, etc.)
    • Schemas and Contivo Files
  2. Excel
    • The Workgroup will use Excel to manage data points for the new proposed 3.x transactions until they are defined. This was decided because people were much more comfortable and familiar with Excel. This will not be the permanent solution, but a temporary tool used to more rapidly accomplish workgroup tasks.
    • this will be used after the workgroup has determined all the business issues and data points necessary for a transaction.

Organizational changes for 3.0

  • Core Data renamed to Core Data Structures
    • Has existing responsibilities
    • Gets new responsibility for managing the Reference Model (structure as well as logical data)
  • XML Architecture re-acquires the technical XML architecture responsibilities from Core Structures - resolving issues and maintaining Engineering Guidelines.
  • D3 Project to be initiated - stands for “Design, Develop and Deploy V3”
    • Will use the Wiki to track work and progress and *may* use an agile development process
    • Will include one or more F2F meetings
  • Core Structures to be disbanded
    • Current CS timeslot to be maintained and used for D3 status tracking and work management
